    Hi,

My form includes a “File Upload” field. In email notifications, it is possible to choose whether or not to include uploaded files as attachments in the email.

When the “Uploaded Files” option is enabled, I receive the email notification. But when the option “None” is enabled (do not include uploaded files as attachments), I do not receive the notification email. As the files to download are large, I cannot keep the “Uploaded Files” option enabled.

On the Submissions page, I can see that the submission has arrived successfully. In the submission, when I click “Resend Email Notification”, the message tells me it was sent, and yet I don’t get it.

    Thank you for your help,

    Michel

    Hi @arbreduperou222,

I couldn’t find any form when I check the /reservation page, so I assum the form is currently disabled.

?do not receive the notification email. As the files to download are large, I cannot keep the “Uploaded Files” option enabled.

Is “Uploaded Files” a checkbox field? You could use “Conditions” Tab to send different emails based on the fields in such cases.

    Please check the following doc:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#conditions-tab

However, we could tell better about the workflow if the form was visible, since it isn’t, possible to share the form export so that we could check the existing form settings and see what could be suggested?

Please check the following doc on how to export a form:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

If you are concerned about any sensitive information in the form, then you can duplicate your form, remove any sensitive information, and then export it.

You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud services in the next reply.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

    Thank you for your help.

Sorry you couldn’t see the form online. It’s still enabled, and when I checked, it was well displayed. Sometimes a little long to load.

“Uploaded Files” is a option in the menu Email inside of Email notification : Email notification → Modify → Email → Attachments (at the bottom). Under "attachments", it is possible to choose between “none” and “uploaded files”.

Message displayed by Forminator below : Choose whether you want to attach the uploaded files via the File Upload field to this email.

When the “Uploaded Files” option is enabled, I receive the email notification when the uploaded file size is small, for example 2 MB. But when the uploaded file size is large, for example 35 MB, I do not receive any notification.

When the “Uploaded Files” option is “None”, I do not receive any the email notification regardless of whether the file size is small or large. But the files are still transferred to the server.

And when there is no attachment, I receive no notification

I tried to use conditions, but it was not possible.

    Hi @arbreduperou222,

Thanks for sharing the form export. It seems like the issue looks more like a bug.

When the “Uploaded Files” option is enabled, I receive the email notification when the uploaded file size is small, for example 2 MB. But when the uploaded file size is large, for example 35 MB, I do not receive any notification.

I could replicate the above issue. The emails are failing to sent when a big size file is uploaded.

When the “Uploaded Files” option is “None”, I do not receive any the email notification regardless of whether the file size is small or large. But the files are still transferred to the server.

However, I couldn’t replicate the above behaviour in my test site with your form nor with my test forms. The emails always gets sent when its “None”, or if there are small files submitted or with no uploads.

The issue noticed with large files seems like a potential bug. However, other than that we aren’t able to notice any such anomalies. I’m bringing the issues noticed with large files further to our developer’s attention.

In the meanwhile, could you please install a plugin like Email log and check whether it picks up any errors when emails aren’t getting sent for cases other than big files?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

    Thank you for support.

The email notification address I was using was a different address than the site URL. I changed the notification address to an address hosted on the server, and since then I have been receiving notifications fine, with or without an attachment.

Thanks again for the information and your help.

    Kind Regards,

    Michel
