Please try adding the following code using a mu-plugin.

add_filter( 'forminator_get_formatted_form_entry', function( $html ){
	$html = str_replace(array('<ol>','</ol>'), array('<ul>','</ul>'), $html);
	return $html;
} );

thanks for your swift reply, unfortunately I get the following error when testing on a staging server;

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected token “&” in D:\xampp\htdocs\wcc\wp-content\mu-plugins\forminator.php on line 2

Line 2 starts with add_filter etc.

Could you confirm if you started the PHP:

add_filter( 'forminator_get_formatted_form_entry', function( $html ){
	$html = str_replace(array('<ol>','</ol>'), array('<ul>','</ul>'), $html);
	return $html;
} );

I tested the code but it worked well.
