• Hi all,

    I was doing a yearly update on a client’s website and I had to change some things in their Contact form. Once I made my changes, the form stop sending emails! Here’s what I did:

    • I upgraded the plugin to have the latest version. That didn’t work.
    • I deactivated every other plugin. That didn’t work.
    • I went back to Theme Eleven. That didn’t work.
    • I created a copy of my form, that didn’t work.
    • I created a new form directly from template… That didn’t work.
    • I uninstalled the plugin completly (losing all my data) and reinstalled it. Guess what? Didn’t work because my WP version was not supported.
    • So I upgraded my WP version to 3.8.1 (it failed the first couple times I tried, after having upgraded the plugin).

    Now I’m creating a new contact form, on a fresh install… And it still doesn’t work. I tried changing the sender’s email adress to my one of my own, too.

    Any ideas? What could be the next step in this long journey to get it to work? I’m gettint really frustrated here and I was only going to do a quick update, now it took me hours and I still haven’t found what the problem is, let alone fix it.

    I forgot to mention that I’m gettint the
    “Your message could not be sent. Please contact the administrator using another methog”
    message.

    CF7 uses standard WP functionality to send emails.

    Test if your WordPress installation is able to send emails. Try going through the “forgot password” function on wp-login.php. Do you get the email? If you don’t you will need to rectify this.
