    Email is not sending after latest update. I tried a test email as well inside Shopmagic and it just goes grey and does nothing.

    Hi – so seems there is still a problem. I was able to send a test email which I thought indicated the problem was fixed. But I notice now its not sending email out after a purchase is made. Any other ideas to fix? I am going to revert back 2 or 3 versions and see how it goes. It had been working until the updates recently.

    An update. I reverted back to ver 2.30.0 and its working again. Emails are sending upon purchase made.

    We are again investigating this issue. As far as I know, few of our users confirmed that fix implemented in 2.31.2 solved it, but your case proofs that latest update is not working for everyone. Sorry for that.

    I need a little bit more information. Could you export an automation and share it with me? What about Outcomes page – does automation possibly triggered by customer gets there (with some error trace) or it doesn’t even make it?

    Additionally, could you check WooCommerce -> Status -> Log (tab) for any recent fatal logs which could be associated with ShopMagic? (FYI, you select logs from a dropdown list on the left hand side).

    If both won’t give us any hint, could you, please, disable the rest of plugins (except WC, of course) and test automation again?

    Finally, when nothing of above will help, I would ask you to share report from WooCommerce System Status page (located under WooCommerce -> Status).

    Hope, an error leaves some trace, that we will be able to help you!

    Hi – I can’t disable all of the plugins that would be a small nightmare to do and then get back up and running. I can tell you there are errors in Woocommerce fatal logs. Here’s a link to the logs: https://www.amazon.ca/clouddrive/share/PAlRQ7i7nTz7QD6kQ7XlFIBHAOh9tbYZUmfnR8E69rq

    Ver 2.30.0 has been working fine. Emails are sent upon purchases.

    Hello @stardaug!

    As to the second message with critical error (Uncaught ArgumentCountError) it was fixed in 2.31.2. Yet, the bigger problem comes from Called to undefined function mime_content_type.

    It seems, your server settings disable this function from PHP core for security reasons. You could confirm that by contacting your hosting provider, if you want to bother.

    Nevertheless, it’s weird that 2.30.0 works fine, because the error I mentioned is tightly related to 2.30 release where we’ve added ability to attach PDF files in emails.

    Could you do a little bit more testing and find out if that message is shown also in 2.30.0 version? And what error messages are shown in 2.31.2? I think, 2.31.2 should resolve an issue from 2.31.0 release and if 2.30 runs flawlessly (at least it seems to do) last release should fixed that (based on logical deduction, but who knows).

    At last, when it comes to the issue with undefined function it will be eventually solved in upcoming release. I’ll notice you, when it lands. By the time I would appreciate if you could confirm the issue in logs from 2.30 usage.

    @bartj Hi – there were no errors showing in 2.30.0 when I reverted back to it. I updated again (yesterday) to latest version and the emails stopped sending again. Had clients mentioning they did not receive the emails. I’ve reverted back to 2.30.0 now again so things work. I will inquire about with my hosting about the mime_content_type function. Would this not still be part of 2.30.0 though? Or is it new in 2.31.2? I don’t understand why 2.30.0 works and 2.31.2 does not. Odd.

    That’s absolutely strange behavior. I’ve investigated differences between 2.30 and 2.31, as well as 2.29 and the only functional change was in adding attachments support, which landed… in 2.30 along with the function which causes troubles in 2.31 in your setup.

    Nothing solely responsible for sending emails have been changed across 2.30 and 2.31, what leads to conclusion that if something doesn’t work in 2.31, it shan’t work in 2.30 either.

    Could you also confirm, if 2.30.2 works correctly?

    @bartj I looked on your site for ver 2.30.2 but its not listed. Only 2.30.1 is.

    I am waiting to hear back from my hosting. They are pretty quick for the most part. Will see what they say.

    @stardaug You’re right ?? I meant 2.30.1 version. Could you check if it works for you?

    Just for you to know – we work on workaround to the problem which will be released soon. Nevertheless, our investigation may help understand the real reason to the problem.
