• I have tried two email subscriber type plug-ins and I have the same problem with both. This makes me think it is a problem with my overall settings, and not with the plugin.

When someone subscribes, the admin receives no notice. If I use a double opt-in, the future subscriber never gets the email to confirm their subscription. Subscribers are not getting the emails when I post a new blog entry.

I have tried Email Subscribers and Newsletters and Opt-in Hound. For both of them I am able to see my subscribers, and I am able to send a newsletter, but the newsleter never arrives despite the records saying that it was sent.

I have contacted plug-in support for both of these plug-ins, and have not found an answer yet. Help please!

Oh, and I can’t just use Jetpack because I have a partially installed version of it and I need to FTP to delete the folder but I don’t know how to find out what information I need to use to log in to FTP on my site. Once I get that folder deleted, I can reinstall jetpack.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • You really shouldn’t use your web server to send mass emails. It is not set up for it and is likely putting your domain on the spam blacklists.

How else can I let people subscribe to my blog?
