I have the same problem, but where would this line of code go?
For a beginner, WordPress does not explain this function in anything understandable!

It goes wherever you want your mail link to appear. Use the HTML tab to enter the bare markup. If using the Visual Editor, start as if creating a standard web link but enter mailto:YOUR_EMAIL_HERE in the url field.

Hi, that’s great, but I don’t want (and presume dmeek5555 doesn’t want” the email address to be displayed on the screen because of spambots.
Do you know the code for not showing the actual address?
    Would be much appreciated..

If it’s a link, it could be
    you (at) yourdomain (dot) com.

I’m not sure that completely solves the bot problem, though. The way to do that is to not have a link at all, just text: “email me at ‘you (at) yourdomain (dot) com’.”

If I’m wrong about this, I imagine someone will correct me.

Or you could use a contact form.
