    Hi,

I have installed Contact form 7 analytics properly, have used the following method in contact forms / email and also have Google Analytics installed (iincluding goals), however I am not getting the Google analytics data in the email. It just appears blank.

I’ve entered [found found-406] in the form and then [found-406] in the email, but still the email comes through with empty details (see below)

    Google Analytics information:

    Previous visit: 01/01/1970 12:00:00 AM

Example page where I use Contact Form 7: https://www.freestyleaccounting.com/accountancy-services/limited-company-contracting/

Any ideas what I am doig wrong?

    Thanks,

    Pete

  • The plugin works off Analytics cookies. If you are not being tracked on your blog because of a plugin such as Yoast SEO not tracking Admins. I would suggest testing from another browser (not private browsing mode) Use a regular browser and not be logged in

Thanks for the suggestion but the issue is showing up in live enquiries as well (from customers) so it must be something else, other than it not tracking just me.

I’m despreately trying to figure out what’s missing. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi Brandbox,

Can you please confirm Google Analytics is installed correctly and reporting on your site?

    Hi Dora,

Yes Analytics is tracking fine, including goals. Our emails are just coming through blank though?

Any idea what else might be wrong?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Do you have contact form 7 to db activated?
If you do, can you please enable the option that allows you to store the cookies in the db with every submission?
That way we’ll be able to see if your Analytics Cookies that are relevant to this plugin get set.

    Thanks,
    Dora

    Hi brandbox,

I’ve started using this terrific plugin couple of days ago.

At first I had the same problem as you are having.

The solution was to update the GA tracking code in the relevant theme’s footer.php.

    Hope it helps,

    Thanks illians for the help!
