Email Issues.

I am having difficulty setting up my automatic subscription emai and user registration confirmation mails.
As I built up my site, I added Theme My Login plugin for user registration. The problem was that it didn’t send any mails (confirmation etc) to the registered user. I solved it through Mailgun and everything worked fine.
Now, when it came to setting up my subscription list, I tried to use Mailchimp. Setting up everything for subscription emails through Mailchimp, I found out that now the user registration is not fine. It does send the confirmation email but in html text, basically not working properly.
I’m literally new to this and learning everything manually.
My main queries that I need to be addressed are:
1) Can Mailchimp and Mailhunt work fine together?
2) Is there any alternative to this entire process? Possibly replacing a plugin with another?
3) How to make my subscription emails, newsletter emails and user registration emails work perfect together?
