We have a gateway in our Foundation that communicates its fantastic plugin with stripe.

We are given the case that forms are filled out by people of legal age who do not have an email address. Our question is the following. Email is required for the system to work.

What can we do if we do not have email from our donors.

    Thanks and regards,
    Luis de Lucas

    Hi Luis,

GiveWP is designed to help raise online donations and to that end, an email address is required. The way the plugin is structured uses a unique email as a method for donors to validate their access to donation history. This is something GiveWP has in common with most online commerce solutions, and there’s no way around the requirement.

Here’s how to deal with email being required: for donors who don’t have an email (or you don’t know it) create a faux email address (I use example.com addresses to prevent it being inadvertently an actual email address). Something like [email protected] so that if I ever do get their email address, I can change that in the database.
