On an contacts Invoice the “Preview” button works, the “Download PDF” button also works, however the “Email Invoice” does NOT work.

When the “Email Invoice” button is clicked the pop-up window is displayed with the contacts email address, attach pdf option, and Send & Cancel buttons. When Send is pressed, the “Invoice Sent” pop up is displayed but the contact never receives an email of the invoice.

Sending a test email of the invoice template is also NOT working.

I’m not sure what the issue can be because I’ve managed to email Quotes and Statements as well as send an email from the contact page via the Contact Actions.

    Hi there, @osaro212,

It’s strange that the email is working only on certain actions, while others bounce back or don’t share any error messages at all. Are you using the core’s System Email feature? We have some info about setting up the mail delivery method here.

Does the issue persists when you save the invoice and/or change its status, for example from draft/unpaid to paid?

If nothing helps, you may want to take a look at the email logs to check if something’s up there. Would you send us PHP error logs on your web host server? If you’re not sure how to check those logs, your web host can help you with that.

It’s possible that your server <span style=”box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>is not configured properly to send emails through the “wp_mail” function, which Jetpack CRM uses. Can you try installing the?WP mail plugin?and checking</span> the email logs?

Please send us both PHP and email logs via the bug report form as it’s not safe to share such logs in a public forum. You can attach them as a text file if you can; otherwise, just mention this forum thread, and we’ll allow you to send the logs attached.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Yes I’m using the system email and I’ve tried changing the invoice status, that didn’t work.

I used the FluentSMTP plugin to get the email logs and it shows that the emails were sent even though they are never received by the contact email.

Using FluentSMTP I tested google smtp and my webmail smtp and those managed to get the invoices delivered to the contact email. I will try Jetpack CRM SMTP mail delivery method instead of FluentSMTP so that can be one less plugin being used.

Although I’ve managed to get smtp working with invoices I’d still like to get to the bottom of the initial issue before upgrading Jetpack CRM.

I will get the error logs and email logs and send them later in the day via the bug report form

    Hey there, @osaro212,

It’s great to hear that you have found a workaround to manage this for the time being.

We’ll look forward to your email so we can dig on this further. Thanks!
