    Can you please explain how you acquired my email address in the first place?

    Hi DJ,

    Some apps like ours require an email address to create a ‘unique’ zotabox account for you to save and edit your settings for ALL your zotabox tools. The email address is automatically collected (the same email address associated with your wordpress account) when you install our app. This is standard procedure for apps like ours. You can also use your email address to login to your zotabox account directly at https://zotabox.com (with the password we emailed you).

    We take your privacy seriously. You can always remove our wordpress app and also DELETE permanently your zotabox account on your account page – https://zotabox.com/customer/account/

    That is not a standard operating procedure for any App.
    Consent was not given nor implied.
    The user who installed the “plugin” is not necessarily the website owner or website administrator,
    The email address is not publicly available.
    Not to mention that your plugin may have been inadvertently installed.
    We did not register an account with Zotobox.

    We are sorry DJ. You are free to uninstall our app and unsubscribe from our mailing list.

    Third party services like ours (Ex. Zopim and Sumome) require email addresses to create a ‘unique account’ so you may manage and edit your tools on our server.

    We are sorry if this caused you any inconvenience. We have 1,000’s of happy wordpress users and only rare complaints.
