    Hi,

    Field in email question.

    How can I add the wordpress username into the email.
    (not first name and last name, but the username.)

    Mailing List question.

    My existing wp users – each have a “city” field as part of the wp user profile.

    Can I create List based on City – and ADD existing users – to a List based on the City?

    Actually you cannot since the subscribers are not wordpress users. eventually they could be linked to real wordpress user but there is not a tag for the username. Interesting idea anyway, I’ll put on my improvement list.

    Just to update my previous question on “Mailing List”
    Example:
    I want to able to create a group / mailing list: Boston

    Add users to a Boston list.

    So I can send email just to a Boston list.

    Hi Stafano.

    Oh boy, that’s not good, because we want to able to send login info….
    So the username is one, that we would need to send.
    Is there maybe some script can used / some how to include the username??

    Hi, but did you imported the wp users as subscribers? To do that you should code a custom theme… or copy the user_login field inside a newsletter profile field… not a short story…

    Hi Stefano.

    I tried this – under Subscription Form, in “Extra profile fields” – I created:

    Field: Profile 1
    Name/Label: username
    List values: user_login

    Inside the email template, I tried:
    {username}
    even
    {user_login}

    But I can’t display the username in the email.
    I tried sending the email to me – (admin)

    How could I display the user’s username in the email?
