Email Expansion Kit

I have a couple of questions regarding the Email Expansion Kit
1. When I set the from field to something different than the account primary email (although still from the same domain), All the mail messages are being sent with the primary email as the from address. Is this a glitch or am I mis-understanding something?
2. Is it possible to set the default for “Prevent Duplicate Emails” to OFF rather than the current “ON”
