Email Editor doesn’t show up

I have created the automation for Newsletter Subscribers and designed the confirmation email received by the clients, and it is still working (I just received it in my other email),
but suddenly and for no reason, when I select the Autmations> … >”Send email” > [Edit Content] button, the editor doesn’t show up. This is my screen: https://prnt.sc/JkcbliB9JtaI.
Moreover, when I started a new automation and had to [+ Design email], the button opened the email editor, but in the saved templates there wasn’t my custom template there (https://prnt.sc/FPsbkOsNhT8q).
What am I doing wrong?
How do I correct this?

Basically, the emal editor doesn’t show up. It just disapeared.
Just to be clear, I have tried all these things proposed:

and this guide: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/204-how-to-test-for-plugins-conflictOK. I followed these instructions: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/258-re-installing-updating-the-plugin-via-ftp (after this, the plugin needs enabling from the plugins menu),
luckily (or by design -pending answer from MailPoet support also on this) all the data, templates, subscribers and the rest of the tables were not deleted and were as I left them.Yet still, I would love an answer on what might caused this and if there is a better fix than the one applied.
If not, just an answer to how safe this ftp thing is for losing data, tables, templates, etc.Thanks
