I am trying to figure out why emails aren’t going to the inboxes of the email addresses I send to. I use the test to email and it says “Success,” but no email to my inbox on any of my email clients including gmail.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @mchat05,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry about your emails not delivering.

There are a number of reasons why this could be happening:

    1. Emails in Spam or Junk Folder: Sometimes, emails may be marked as spam by the receiving email client, especially with services like Gmail. Please check your Spam or Junk folders to see if the emails have been redirected there.

    2. Email Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC): Email clients often rely on authentication mechanisms like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to determine whether an email is legitimate. If these are not correctly configured for your domain, emails may be flagged or not delivered to your inbox.

I recommend verifying that your domain’s SPF and DKIM records are correctly set up. You can usually configure these in your domain’s DNS settings.

If you are using the Google mailer with a custom domain hosted on Google, please see the links below on how to set up SPF and DKIM records on Google:

    SPF: https://support.google.com/a/answer/33786?hl=en&ref_topic=9061731

    DKIM: https://support.google.com/a/answer/174124?hl=en&ref_topic=2752442

This is also mentioned in our setup guide for the Google mailer here: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#spf-record.

I hope this helps. Thanks ??
