Email Delivery Error – cURL error 28

    I see this error. But I tested emails and it seems to be working now. What might have been the reason for this error?

    I have the latest version of the plugin and latest version of WordPress.

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v1.8.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    cURL error 28: Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
    Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it

    I’m sorry to hear you ran into this error! cURL errors are related to server
    configuration issues, so the best next step is to reach out to your site’s hosting provider to get help sorting out the exact cause.

    It may also be worth mentioning that, depending on which mailer option you’re using right now, switching mailers might allow you to get around this issue. Specifically, the Other SMTP and Google mailers most commonly run into these kinds of server configuration issues (Other SMTP works within your site’s server, and Google’s API is sensitive to these settings).
