Email database backup stopped working

  • Hi I have had a weekly database backup emailed to me for several months now. 3 weeks ago this stopped coming (last one 20th April). I have checked the settings and nothing has changed, I still get other emails from my server as per usual.

    Most unusual when I try to manually send myself a backup I get an Error 500 which has never happened before. Then the backup information at the bottom is date stamped this has occurred and I still don’t get an email.

    What do you suggest? I do activate any versions as soon as they come.

    I see no one has replied as yet and I have had the same problem for months now.
    I have been using ‘complete central backup’ plugin to replace the loss of function of the backup module on Better WP Security. It holds loads of backups, you can force one at will and manually download it throwing it straight in your dropbox or similar.
    Would still really love to fix the other one though, it worked very well for a while.

    This database backup issue has been reported many times. It seems the developer is very busy still no time to fix it.

    My suggestion: disable this feature and use other backup plugin.
