Email could not be sent

  • Dear Word Press,
    I just self-setup my word press on my windows 7 personal computer using Apache, mysql, and php. It did take me to this page and gave me an info ‘ You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first’ and ‘the e-mail could not be sent.
    Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function. Please, what do i do about this, as I need to host this site like right away. Kindly, help me out here. Thank you.

  • Do what it says, delete the existing tables in the database..

    I take it , as you are hosting on a personal computer, that this is not a production website??

    Thank you for your response, I have been able to access my website account. Truth be told i might not be an expert in this area of IT as I am just trying to get my feet to the ground. And i wouldnt mind using your help. What do you mean by production website??
