When someone uses the contact form on my website, it just says “message can’t be sent”. When I test it myself, it will only work when I am logged into WordPress. If I log out of wordpress and use the contact form on my website, I get the same “message can’t be sent” error. I have had friends test it for me and they all get the same error. Also, if I send a test message to myself (while I’m logged in on WordPress), the mesage will go straight to the junk/spam folder in my email client.

I have tried sending an email from my hotmail account to the website email address for my website and it goes through fine and into the inbox, not in the spam folder. Only when I use the contact form I have problems.

I am running the Astra theme with visual composer.

Any idea on what I can do to fix this, thanks.

    Hi,

Can you check if any other plugin or theme is altering it? You can do so by taking a website backup and deactivating rest of the plugins except Visual Composer and then switching onto a default theme like twenty twenty one to check the contact form functionality.

I only had visual composer plugin installed and changed to the twenty twenty one theme and the contact form still wouldn’t work.

    Hi,

When I now access the contact page url it shows that the form is replaced by contact form 7. If the issue still exists with simple contact form element, then please open a ticket via official support channel: https://visualcomposer.com/support

Yeah, I spoke to someone at Ionos and they helped me solve the issue. Thanks for your help.
