Email Confirmation: mess of concepts!
-
Though it’s said on the FAQ that…
Is there a way to confirm a user’s email address when they sign a petition?
Yes. Simply select “Confirm signatures” when creating a petition and a confirmation email will be sent to the address used to sign the petition. By clicking the link in the confirmation email, the signer can confirm their email address. The petition message will not be sent until the signer’s email address is confirmed.
But that’s not true. When I chose Confirm signatures in the Petition admin page, what really happens is that an extra field is added to the sign form in which the user must re-enter his/her email addres: “Confirm e-mail”! That’s not what should be expected!
It seems to be a common problem to confuse the possible meanings of confirmation in this plugin.
Besides, I’m not getting any email sent to the signer ??
