I am having issues with authorizing my email from the Email Set Up form. This same email address has been authorized 3 times already. When I log in in the MailPoet site I see it authorized there (3 separate times).

I created a new email to send to new subscribers.

When I try to activate it, it’s asking me to authorize my email listed under “Sender”.

I’m not able to enable the email response from the site.

I have the premium package with under 1,000 subscribers.

    Please help. Thanks!

  • Hi, @eea787!

Could you please let us know what’s the site you’re using MailPoet with? So we can take a look at your account.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

The website is https://www.rochesterinvestments.com. I’m also having problems verifying the DNS records. I copied and pasted the exact phrases from my mailpoet account to my DNS records and it’s been about 5 days since then. Every time I click on “Verify the DNS records” on the MailPoet site in my account I get an error message and the status is “Invalid”. Not sure if both issues are related.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi there @eea787,

Thanks for getting back to us!

For your authorized FROm address issue, can you please:

    – check that the key you’re using in MailPoet > Settings > Key Activation belongs to the same account where your FROM address is authorized;
    – type your FROM address all lower-case;
    – update your MailPoet plugins to the latest version.

If the issue persists, can you please share a screenshot of the error?

You’re having an issue verifying your DNS records, because these records don’t exist in public DNS:

    https://www.whatsmydns.net/#CNAME/mailpoet1._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com
    https://www.whatsmydns.net/#CNAME/mailpoet2._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com
    https://www.whatsmydns.net/#TXT/_mailpoet.rochesterinvestments.com

Instead, your records are created with duplicated domain: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#CNAME/mailpoet1._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com.rochesterinvestments.com

To fix the issue, please remove the domain name from the record’s name, leaving it as “mailpoet1._domainkey”, “mailpoet2._domainkey” and “_mailpoet”.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

I would love to send you pictures but I won’t post them here publically. Please give me an email address to email them to.

I’ve been trying to verify the DNS records for over 2 weeks now and I’ve been getting “Invalid” error in my account on your website.

I copied and pasted the DNS instructions that I got from you to my website panel and I didn’t add or change anything but still no success.

I can’t create DNS instructions without my domain, it’s automatically added when generated on your website.

    Thanks,
    Diana

    Hi there @eea787,

I would love to send you pictures but I won’t post them here publically.

In this case, can you please confirm you checked the steps I asked? Also, do you get this error when you send an individual email or do you see it on the top of your admin panel?

I can’t create DNS instructions without my domain, it’s automatically added when generated on your website.

In your DNS hosting control panel, where you add your DNS records, instead of “mailpoet1._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com” you need to leave just “mailpoet1._domainkey”.

Correspondingly, instead of “mailpoet2._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com” leave “mailpoet2._domainkey” and instead of “_mailpoet.rochesterinvestments.com” – “_mailpoet”.

As I explained earlier, you have two domain names added to your DNS records: mailpoet1._domainkey.rochesterinvestments.com.rochesterinvestments.com. It means that your DNS hosting adds your domain to your DNS records automatically.

Let me know how that goes!
