Email all subscribers an activation link

    As part of my efforts to get GDPR compliant, I need to disable all users and then send all my disabled subscribers an opt in email. What I want to know, is there a way to send am email with the activation link in it to all subscribers.

    If I can, will the system record the date they clicked activate, even if they were active before?

  • You can send a re-activation link, however, that would be very confusing.

    You cannot create a newsletter with a re-activation link at the moment. It seems that MailPoet – as a European company! – has completely missed the GDPR so far.

    Right know, it is not even possible to know when and with which IP address someone confirmed a newsletter subscription. There are just the columns ‘Subscribed on’ and ‘Last modified on’. MailPoet also keeps subscribers without lists although such storage is completely unnecessary and probably illegal under the GDPR.

    We might have to change back to MailChimp.
