Email alerts for modified files

  • Hi,
    I’m new to WF but appreciate the free offering to help me stay safe!
    I have set up several sites now with default options and I now get lots of daily email alerts telling files have been modified. Most of them are WF files (I can see the updated plugins etc) but instead of being log files, they are php files and includes attack.php. Is this normal?
    I’ve check you docs wiki and googled it but I can’t find an answer to this simple question!
    Can you help?
