  • Hi,

I have 27 websites all doing this.
The configuration is the same on all … nearly
    I use the Divi theme
    Wordpress latest
Did you want to have a look?
    Many Thanks
    Regards Mark

    Hi,
I’ve followed the advisory to delete the two language files and this solves the problem.
All emails are fine … and all the changes in the wordpress Sucuri interface (which are very confusing) have rectified.
    So thanks for the solution.
I would say the problem … if not fixed … renders Sucuri not fit for purpose … from a GUI point of view.
    Many Thnaks
    Regards Mark

    Ok …
I have just updated all the translations that pop up on ManageWP and the problem is back.
I think it is a problem with the Yoast plugin.
    Thanks Mark

Ok … 12 hours later the deleted language files are back.

    The problem exists in permanence.

The reality … all sucuri text … in the program itself and in emails delivered is visual garbage.

In my case … it is not fit for purpose.

Can you advise me on the outlook on this please?

    Thanks Mark

@adaptablewebsites — there is no solution, just disable the plugin for now.

I will release version 1.8.9 in a couple of weeks with a fix. Clearly adding internationalization support was a bad idea, people are not even interested to help with the translations so I don’t see the point of this. I will just revert the changes that I applied to support language files and go back to the basic English interface. It will take me several days to do this as I have to rewrite many files, but once this is finished you will stop seeing the “visual garbage”.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Yorman,

Sorry, sounds like a lot of work. It is happening though … was disappointed that the language files were suddenly replaced after going through and deleting them all.

    Regards Mark

Hello @everyone I want to thank you all for the bug reports and your patience. I fixed this bug a couple of days ago and the changes are now available to be downloaded from the development repository [1][2][3] if you need an immediate fix, otherwise please wait until the public release of version 1.8.9 which will happen in a couple of weeks.

The problem was basically caused by the automatic update mechanism that WordPress provides to upgrade its own core files, when it runs it creates a copy of the language files used by the Sucuri plugin but with the wrong translation or no translation at all.

Marking as resolved, feel free to re-open or create a new ticket if you need more information.
