Email address that can't be changed.

I copied and pasted in an email address for client from Thunderbird. On the /user/username/ page the email looks like this: [email protected]” title=”[email protected]”>[email protected] and I can’t get rid of it and replace it with the correct email address.

If I change it to [email protected], all lowercase, it goes away. If I change it again to [email protected], The D and L uppercase, it comes back. That, unfortunately, is the way the client wants his email address to appear.

I thought it was a caching issue and did flush the caching on the UM dashboard, but that was not the solution.

Anybody have any idea what is causing this anomaly and how to fix it?
