Email address on subdomain of Multisite

I get the configuration error “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site” for my site, which is at subdomain.mydomain.com. My email address is [email protected], so I’m thinking it’s looking for an email address like [email protected].
But my subdomains for WordPress don’t show up the way my other subdomains do in cPanel, allowing me to create an email address for them.
How do I either change it so Contact Form 7 will recognize mydomain.com as the same as the subdomain OR, if it can’t/won’t (it’ll still likely be flagged as spam), then how do I configure the subdomain email address in my cPanel when WordPress Multisite makes subdomains special?
