Email address in Custom Field

Hi,
I need to use an email address as a custom field. How can I make it clickable to launch email client? (see GET IN TOUCH line on page)I tried the “link” field type. But when I enter mailto:[email protected], the “mailto:” is also displayed on the front end.
What can I do to display the email address and make it clickable?

Hi @iboudreau,
You can solve this issue by changing the custom field type to “short text” instead of “link”. And then modify each email to use the
<a>tags, with “href” attribute.Format:
<a href='mailto:EMAILADDRESS'>EMAILADDRESS</a>For example:
mailto:[email protected]needs to be written as:<a href='mailto:[email protected]'>[email protected]</a>
