Email address changed to *protected email* in Tailor Editor

    When we edit a content area with a mailto link in the Tailor editor, the email link and text is changed to *protected email*. This ONLY happens in the Tailor editor. Not the WP Editor. Is this a known issue?

    This looks like it might actually be a conflict with the WP Mailto Links plugin that this site is also running. If I disable that plugin, I do not get the *protected email* output.

    Hi @kcomphlint,

    Looks like this is the functionality of the “WP Mailto Links plugin” which you are using. It makes all email addresses/links protected.

    Just looked at the plugin and seems like there is an option in their settings page which would solve this. You need to check on the option “No.keep plain emails as they are” and that should not auto convert emails to protected.
