“Email Address already exists!”

Hello folks,
I have a problem with unsubscribing. The unsubscription itself works, but if a user with the same email address wants to subscribe again, he receives the message “Email Address already exists!” at the registration form.
This is unfortunate because we have to delete the user manually from the user database on the admin page.
