Email Accounts For Mapped Domains in WordPress Multisite

  • We’re trying to figure out how to create individual email accounts for site hosted on the WordPress Multisite. We know that cPanel allows for the creation of Addon Domains which then could have email accounts associated with them but there is concern that by creating an Addon Domain for a site that already exists in the Multisite Network will result in conflicts in resolving the DNS.
    What are some suggestions on how to configure cPanel or WordPress Multisite Domain Mapping to allow us to create individual email accounts for each site in the network?

    there is concern that by creating an Addon Domain for a site that already exists in the Multisite Network will result in conflicts in resolving the DNS.

    When you create the addon domain point the web account to the folder that the multisite install is hosted in.
