    Hi Nuzik,

By default, the email notification setting is set to ‘ON’ until a user logs on and edits their profile to turn it off.

Do you want to disable it by default, until users edit their profiles to change it?

    Regards,
    Samuel.

no man i didn’t see it was on by default. The box isn’t ticked on the page where it says get notifications via email so assumed it was the other way round…

I am sorry for the confusion.

I have just tested it on a live forum that I run, by default any user there will receive email notification about the messages until they toggle that setting on/off.

I am sorry I just found out that users who choose not to be emailed will still be emailed with the notification. I am updating very shortly..

I hope that is what you meant Nuzik.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I haven’t understood it very well, sorry. but, there are 2 bugs that I found after testing and I have made an update ( update to version 0.1.1.2 )

I assume that settings for “Email me whenever I receive a message on the forums” aren’t saving well, and I think the new update fixes them.

Please let me know if that fixes your issue or explain more on this thread.

    Thank you so much.

    Hi Nuzik,

I am sorry about the late reply.

Did you try to edit the user’s profiles and see if their preferences allow emailing? (“Email me whenever I receive a message on the forums” is checked)..

Also do emails work in your installation? I mean sometimes the mail functions break up like when in localhost..

    Thanks.

hi Samuel, i was just going through this. I have even tried a a mail manager to send out via smtp and nothing works on your plug in. I have successfully tested it on the mail plug in and works fine. It seems to be its not alerting the messages to members

    hi Nuzik,

That is weird I will need to look into this if you don’t mind.

Can you please create a temporary account with admin role and send me the login credentials?

It will be helpful to debug this issue and find a fix..

    Thank you!

    Hi Nuzik,

Can you test it now and see if it works? send a message to someone and see their email, or you can send me a message and I will tell you if I received the notification..

    Thanks.
