Elipsis comes out without class/id

Hi,
It would be useful for the … (or whatever you’ve selected) to be outputting in a span (or similar) with an ID or class so we can apply any CSS we ned to it.

I’m having to fiddle with margins and padding on my blog, and the excerpt plugin is making it hard to make sure the … is in the right place!
