Hi, I use your plugin to get my last few errors resolved that Google PageSpeed Insight’s reported.
Now there is only one last css error left, and it is a css from Autoptimize itself.

Here the exact message from Google:

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Your page has 1 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
    …cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_5a89f2e2115279d38ef47671418a9661.css

    **

By the way, it’s about the page https://www.premiumshopping.net

Thank you so much! Would be so cool, if I could get this one last thing resolved with your help. Because even though your plugin resolved 12 other issued perfectly, Google still gives me only 84/100 because of the last issue. Starting from 85 is “green”, which is my goal.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks!

thans so much. i want to use the “inline & defer CSS” option. i am emerrassednto ask, but i am simply no webdesigner/developer whatsoever: which code exactly do i paste there in order to get my above mentioned css in there?

i tried to extract it via the the critical path CSS generator tha’s recommended in the FAQ.

I guess it’s easy to solve if one knows what to do now. Can you please help with this as well?
Thank you!! I highly appreciate it.

great! feel free to leave a review about autoptimize here ??

    Hi Frank,

I just installed and activated the autopimize plugin, but I’m still getting the same error Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content in PageSpeed Tools – Insights.

By the way my website is https://doodlenoodle.com

The specific page with the worst average loading times is https://doodlenoodle.com/givingback/

    Thanks,
    Eric

autoptimize does not seem to be active ericglauque?

Trying to post a screen shot, but I do have Autopitize installed and activated

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content still coming back both for desktop and mobile in GA

    Plugin Author Frank Goossens

    (@futtta)

well, there’s no trace of Autoptimize in your HTML. which options did you activate (HTML, CSS, JS optimization)?

if AO is active and you activated HTML/ CSS/ JS, then some plugin is conflicting (preventint AO from working), consider toggling plugins to see which one is causing this (briefly switch theme as well if no plugin pops up).

I activated all three (HTML, CSS, JS optimization) and found it completely disabled my site unless I transitioned over to the 2016 theme.

I also tested all the plugins and found the three optimizations disabled the site no matter what other plugins I had in place.

I must use my child theme so unless I can resolve this, I just won’t be able to use this plugin.

    thanks for your help

is your theme a child theme of 2016?

No it’s a child of a theme called Big Point by Lollum, purchased through Theme Forest.

    (@futtta)

Well, if the problem is only there when using the child theme, you have a bug in there, but if the problem is also there when using “Big Point” only (so without your child theme), then you’ll have to ask for support from Lollum because it’s his/her/their theme that somehow stops AO from working (and you paid them, so you’re entitled to get support, no?).

I think I used to get support for a few months, but I believe that time has now elapsed. Not sure this is going to work out. I’ll probably just have to figure out some other solution or plugin

you’re entitled to 6 months of support at themeforest, but the author may offer support after that on https://lollum.ticksy.com/submit/. also interesting; lollum uses autoptimize himself, cfr. view-source:https://lollum.com/ ??
