    Hi!

This is a brilliant plugin, and the shortcode documentation at your site is just wonderful.

I’m hoping there’s a way to edit/prevent the letterboxing of the placeholder image that’s appearing when I use the playlist version of the shortcode.

I can’t post a link, since I’m developing the site in my localhost sandbox, I’ve been digging around in Chrome’s inspect element and I’m seeing

    <img src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/HeMf6G-DDnk/hqdefault.jpg" width="640" height="360"> and when I hover over that element there’s a pop-up with a picture and the descriptor: 768 x 432 pixels (Natural 480 x 360).

The letterboxing is fairly pronounced when the page is accessed and then becomes less so when one hovers over the wp-theatre-bigscreen section. Is there any way to style the class to crop out the letterboxing?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately not. YouTube restricted all the extra data to content owners using OAuth2. So I don’t have access to the width, height, quality or aspect ratio. I did send them an email about this but I doubt they’ll change anything. I have and will again look at the OAuth2 options but it would really expand the scope of this plugin.

Thank you so much for the speedy reply.

I’ll mess around with cropping via CSS and let you know if I discover anything ??
