eliminate blank line between textarea & COUNT

I get an extra (blank) line between the bottom of a TEXTAREA my-field and the display of COUNT my-field (which displays correctly). There is nothing in the form’s code between the two items. I’m guessing this is a style sheet issue. Is there an easy way to eliminate this, and/or change the line spacing of a CF7 form in general, without changing something global in the theme? thx
