I have a strange issue with elementor only on one site – Elements are grayed out and progress wheel is turning for ever.
On a page designed with elementor I can edit existing elements but can not add new elements since they are grayed out and progress wheel is turning for ever. This happened after updating elementor last night to v 2.5.8

I have 2 sites with very similar set up same theme same plugins with very minor differences. Yet on the other site all is fine!

    What I already tried:

    * Take plugins off one by one (move them to another folder on FTP) – no joy
    * Delete elementor and reinstall it from the depostry again – no difference
    * The older version I was updating from and which still works fine – 2.4.7 – I tried installing 2.5.5 to see if that would work – no – same issue

I have run out of ideas of what else I could try
especially as it works absolutely fine on another site with almost identical set up

Please help me sort it out

  • I just updated to 2.5.8 and I have exactly the same issue. Safe Mode provides no further information.
Oddly, I can still access and edit just fine any existing element, columns, and sections on the 3 pages I checked. I cannot access the Elementor full editor to add anything new, however.

I tried rolling back 1 version, then 2 versions back. No difference. I will try version 2.4.7 next. This is especially aggravating, though.

Got the same issue since yesterday. Has anyone found the solution?

Have you resolved this yet? If not, please create a site and database backup using any of the popular WordPress backup plugins, and then update to the latest versions of Elementor.

Yes, it’s been resolved. It was an issue with one of the plugins and somebody posted a solution on the plugin’s forum. Unfortunately I don’t remember what plugin it was.
