I am using WordPress 4.7.2 running Ascension theme. Once I’ve created a new form, moved all the elements, etc. after I hit Publish or Update (after form has been created), the form elements field empties. I’ve uninstalled the plugin and even downloaded and installed the zip file.
If I copy and paste the shortcut code, the only thing that shows up are the submit button and the ReCAPTHA fields.
My form is located at https://laroselandscape.com/contact/
Thank you for you help in solving this issue!
    Michelle

  • Hi Michelle

Do you perhaps have any caching installed on your site? This is the first time I’ve come across this to be honest.

Just to confirm, what version of the plugin do you currently have installed?

No caching plugins installed or any that I know of. I am using version 1.12.

    Hi Michelle

Would you mind taking a screenshot of the contact form ‘Edit’ page, with the console log open? This can be opened by right clicking on the screen, clicking on ‘Inspect’ and then on the ‘Console’ tab.

    Hi Jarryd,
It’s my browser! I use Edge. I accessed the form on Firefox, so I could easily use Inspect, and it worked like a charm!
I went back to Edge and updated another form with the Inspect running and this line caught my notice: The code on this page disabled back and forward caching.
Even more curious, the element field is not accessible on Edge on the original form I updated on Firefox. I will now use Firefox to update my website!
If you still need me to screenshot it, let me know, but I’m guessing you can duplicate the problem now that we know it was Edge.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle

Thanks so much for your feedback regarding this.

I’ve added this as a bug to our development schedule to see if we can add a workaround for this for users using Edge.

My sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
