Elements/Animations Disappear

this story has been reported to have a blank slide 8 with only the background color, though I can see it fine in Chrome.

What device did this issue occur on (mobile vs desktop, browser/browser version)?

Could you provide your Site Health information? You can share privately if you prefer.

The user was on Chrome on a Mac Pro to view the story

– I’m hosted on GoDaddy
– I submitted Site Health info thru the form.

Not sure about web app firewalls, I’d have to double check with my developer. I have wordfence installed for unauthorized login attempts.

elements go missing from the final version of the story

Do you notice them disappearing if the elements do not have animations applied to them? Could you share an example story URL where the issue is currently present? Do you notice any browser console errors?

I am able to view Slide 8 without issues. Could the user who experienced this share a video of the issue? If it is blank, could they check to see if there are any browser console errors? Does the user experience the same in an incognito window?

Do any of these issues occur when only Web Stories has been activated and all other plugins are disabled?

@slashedbeauty Hiya, have you had a chance to check on the above?

Additionally, I keep having to re-add the photo elements to Slide 6 of this story (Clean & Curl slide) because it will look fine, I’ll publish, and later it will appear blank until I re-add elements, even though I can see everything fine within the builder.

Are you still experiencing this issue with version 1.7.1 of the plugin? Can you share if any of these issues occur when only Web Stories has been activated and all other plugins are disabled? I want to check if there is an issue within the plugin or if there are conflicting plugins or caching services.

For this particular issue of having to re-add the photo, I can’t replicate the problem until it happens again, as once I re-added it, it was fine. I haven’t been able to get any other information for the user it happened with (a program director with the Acorn web stories program). I suppose I’ll just have to reach back out if it happens again because I had previously re-added the photo already.

That would be greatly appreciated. It would be helpful to see a story URL with the missing elements before it has been fixed, as well as any browser console errors with any of the issues. We’ll continue to monitor for similar reports, but don’t hesitate to report it again. Thanks @slashedbeauty

Viewing on Chrome on iOS, iPhone 11 Pro

This story is now missing a ton of elements, shapes, photos etc. It was fine last week (and actually got a ton of views (4k+) and now almost every page is missing an element. Page two is completely blank for me as well. Since this is one of my most-viewed stories, I’d like to fix this ASAP but I know you wanted to see one before fixing.

Following up, viewing from a desktop on chrome it looks fine. It does seem like all missing elements are those that have animations on them.
