I use Generator as my theme and I have added a Hook to be inserted after the header. This hook is just a standard WordPress search box. I added it as a Hook as it is the only way I can get the search box I want in the place I want it.

However, when that standard search form hook is present when I try to edit a page with Elementor I cannot do anything. I get the usual pop-up saying that something is wrong and that it might be a conflict.

If I remove the Hook, I can edit normally.

My question is, why is a standard piece of WordPress code causing the issue?

Or, is there another way of getting a search box below the navigation on every page that doesn’t involve a hook?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Ok – don’t worry – I have solved it.

    Here’s what I did.

I created a template with a search box and everything else switched off (headers etc) using an Elementor full width post template.

Then I inserted the shortcode for that template into the GP Hook position I wanted.

A quick bit of styling and all OK now.

Sorry to have bothered you before I had thought this through.
