Elementor update broke my site and its entire design!
-
After updating your plugin, my entire website broke, and I had to roll it back. Why did this happen? When will you fix it?
The update was 40 minutes ago, and the entire design on the homepage and some other pages was completely broken!
Here are the photos on my cloud.

Hello Milos, thanks for replying. But the things you suggested are really just the things I did! Regenerated CSS, emptied cache, and after turning off all plugins exept for Elementor and Elementor Pro the Header of my site and all the pages I built with Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder were still broken. They actually show up correctly in the backend Theme builder-editor. So, when will there be an update to Elementor Pro to fix this issue?
Same problem, many sites. It’s still not completely fixed, but each update seems to get closer.
Hi there,
Thank you for contacting us.
You can try to roll back your previus version using our roll back feature via the Elementor Tool: Elementor > Tools > Version Control > Rollback
Or try to update to our new version where the issue is fix now, Please note if you are an Elementor Pro user, you can open a support ticket at my.elementor.com ref: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-submit-a-support-ticket/ I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook.
We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, Global Elementor Community.
www.remarpro.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.
Kind regards,
Same here guys, it just ruined all my work website, i just saw the “click here to finish update” in backend, and then BOOM that happened, it exposes the CSS code on my site.

Ah phew, there’s an easy rollback feature. just rolled back to 3.23.3 as someone suggested and site is back to normal.
Actually, 3.23.3 was also not working properly, i’ve put it back to 3.24.3 and my site now renders as before in all areas and will stick to that. Hopefully they release a new version which takes into account everything not working, etc.
I suggest disabling automatic Elementor updates in the meantime, i have done that.
Cheers!
We are sorry to hear that the layout is breaking for your site when updating to Elementor 3.24.1 and higher.
Just for confirmation has everyone tried to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data and see if that helps? So you can give this a try on a test or staging site. First update to the latest version on the staging site and then try this method to see if the styling of your site works as it did originally.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you regarding this query.
@vipulelementor
When using Regenerate CSS it wil work for first time loading a webpage after applying, but when reloading the webpage, it will return to corrupted stage.- This reply was modified 1 month, 2 weeks ago by dannyplace.

Hi everyone,
Elementor 3.24.0 was a major release with many performance updates, JavaScript code optimization, security improvements, and more. The complete changelog is available on the Elementor repository page.
Some of our users had to deal with a bug that caused styling issues for certain widgets and layout breaks. We do everything we can to prevent these problems, but challenges can arise when working on software, especially at the scale of Elementor. What matters most is how quickly we address them and ensure our community is always supported with solutions.
New Patch
We have released several patches to address these issues. Our team has been working hard and fast to get things right, and we believe these updates will restore the stability and performance you expect from Elementor.
What to Do
Make sure to update Elementor Core to its latest version, which, at the time of writing, is Elementor Core 3.24.5. This version contains an update that fixes responsive styles not loading properly. Before this, we had several patches that fixed different issues caused by the Elementor 3.24 release.
Thank You
We deeply appreciate your support and feedback. Your trust is important to us, and we’re committed to learning from this experience to ensure every next release is a better one.
hi @nemanjat thanks for the drop in and appreciate that you guys are dealing with a lot. Here’s some new feedback:
i’ve just tested;
3.24.5 with the Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data – no change.
My site still looks broken with things like this showing on the main page, like code showing on front end (they should not show):
.responsive-h1 { font-size: 60px; /* Default for desktop / color: white; } / Small devices (phones, 600px and down) / @media (max-width: 600px) { .responsive-h1 { font-size: 30px; / Adjust font size for phones *

I recorded a loom but won’t share it here for privacy – can i send it to you in DM somehow? I am a Bridge User which then leverages Elementor.
i’ve reverted back to 3.24.3 and site is fine again ??
Thank you!

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out again.
Could you please try switching your current Bridge theme temporarily to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Nineteen, to see if it resolves the issue? It’s possible that the Bridge theme may not be fully compatible with the latest version of Elementor.
Please let me know if this makes a difference. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards
Here’s what i just tried today:
Upgraded Elementor to latest 3.24.6 on Bridge and no change – theme is still screwed up with the weird CSS text on front end
Switch another theme – 2024 with 3.24.6 – theme is still screwed up with the weird CSS text on front end
Tried to clear CSS files, etc – no change

Disabled elementor for another test – no weird CSS text displayed on front end
Re-enabled elementor – weird CSS on front end again
Rolled back to 3.24.3 – all back to normal
There’s also a Bridge Core update available which i haven’t done just yet, at this point i am still clueless.
With the other theme it’s also showing the weird CSS so doesn’t seem Bridge related?
thanks,

Ok, new update from me:
I updated Bridge to latest release 30.8.1 – after that site was still great
Then i checked, cleaned cloudflare, all good.
Then tried to update elementor to 3.24.6 again – site broken as per before, same identical.
Then rolled back to 3.24.3 and site’s fine again. So nothing changed even with Bridge’s latest update as well.
Pages are quite basic.
It’s literally showing on front end some small code customizations i have on “Heading Sections”, for headers with one underline, a small custom css. not even super advanced stuff!
Let’s see if this helps figuring out what’s wrong. Check one page from my site https://www.gabriolinari.com/about-gabrio-linari/
We have this in the Heading Section
<span class="custom-underline">Biography</span>
<style>
.custom-underline {
display: inline-block;
line-height: 1.2; /* Adjust this to control the space between text and underline */
border-bottom: 4px solid #1AA9C7; /* Customize the color and thickness */
padding-bottom: 0px; /* Adjust this to control the space between text and underline */
}
</style>The homepage has a bit more heavy things, i suppose. That bit screws up the whole page, as shown in here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PHbYlGSev9rFVu4YjOek7xwtc0Jowfkb/view – About Me Page, same as above
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bb0B4rfmUheVKJXuVOWPi3OgHZh1UCOI/view – This is the homepage.
If you can drop me an email we can take this privately, perhaps that’ll help others.
Thank you ??
Hi there,
Thanks for sharing you feedback with me
There is some code conflict with our new version and the bridge theme,
Therefore, we highly recommend that you report this issue to the support team for this theme, so they may further troubleshoot and provide any recommendation (or possible fix) to resolve this issue.
Should they need any help from us, they can open an issue on our Github account and our developers will be happy to assist. https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues
For reference: What do we Support?
Kind regards,
This is going in circles man. I have tested it with the 2024 twenty-twentyfour Standard wordpress theme and 100% was the same in front end, did you see that in my previous message here?
I’ve already talked with Bridge support who told me since there’s the error with the standard theme, this is within Elementor to fix.
You say it’s them. They say it’s you. I am in the middle.
