Elementor text editor colour no longer works

  • Was there a big change to how Elementor and Astra works together?

    I remember being able to overwrite the text colour for the Text Editor element with Elementor, even if I defined the text colour in Astra’s theme options. And now, it doesn’t work – specifically for Headings in the text editor (paragraphs work fine).

    I’m using:
    Elementor 2.9.13 (tried 2.9.9 same thing)
    Astra 2.4.5

    P.S. This does not happen in TwentyTwenty or Hello theme.

    We did nothing on our end related to this. However, you will notice the same thing when you are using a theme that has a feature to configure the heading color, e.g. OceanWP, Storefront.

    I would suggest you get in touch with the Elementor support to get an answer in a better manner.

    Thank you for responding. I need to update my earlier response.

    Changing the heading and body text colour in the Text Editor element works in TwentyTwenty and Hello theme.

    This would mean that there’s something in Astra which is preventing Elementor from changing the Text Editor’s heading colour – body text is fine.

    Hi @dannyfoo,

    Twenty-Twenty and Hello themes might be working because these themes have very minimal color customization options. But I discovered for the themes that have a dedicated option to configure the heading color, the Elementor Text Widget will work that way.

    Have you tried the same scenario on the themes I mentioned in my previous response? Please try it and you will notice the same thing. That is why I suggest you get in touch with the Elementor support.
