    Hi

I use this plugin regularly to clone pages and posts. But I just tried cloning an Elementor popup template – no go. looks like it’s not copying the template settings – the copy is just a page with no popup values.

Have you run into this before?

    Thx

    Hi @imincognito

    My apologies for delayed reply.
What do you mean by Elementor pop-ups?

If you wish to duplicate something which is not included in core Elementor, you may need to use Copy Delete Posts Premium add-on for that.

In mentioned add-on you have access to dynamic meta option duplication which should handle it any additional part of Elementor.

Free version only supports basic hard-coded Elementor functionalities.

Let me know if that’s the case (and provide plugin name if possible).
    Thank you!

Looks like I posted my request under the wrong vendor – I’ve been using Yoast Duplicate Post. But having said that…

Elementor has a number of template “types” – header, footer, global widgets, and popups. Popups are just a special use case, except they have display conditions instead of being embedded in pages and posts. So, internally, they’re similar to headers and footers – they “pop-up” whenever their display conditions are satisfied (e.g. all posts with category x).

My guess is they may have additional attributes or least that their attributes are stored in a different postmeta record (the _elementor_data record in postmeta stores all the “core” elementor page attributes). Additional popup attributes include popup size and location on the screen and these are possibly (or obviously, I guess) not stored in the elementor_data record in postmeta.

–> Elementor page attributes are spread out across multiple postmeta records, so this will be a problem for any clone plugin.

So now my question is – does your product (freemium premium version) support all types of Elementor templates? Since it is the leading page builder product, I’m assuming you folks would be familiar with it…

    Hi @imincognito

My apologies for delayed reply, we have not received notification about your post earlier.

Our free version should support all basic types of elementor functions.
But the premium version also gives you option to copy post/page in “smart” way.
    – It means, that our plugin is trying to guess what’s also needed and copies it as well.

In any case, if it does not work currently with our plugin we’re happy to add dedicated support for it as we already have few dedicated methods for Elementor parts.

So, please check out if it works with free version or try out our premium version.
If that won’t work either you can ask for full refund or ask us to debug it further and request to add new feature.

    Hope that helps ??
    Thank you!
