Elementor search results fall back to default language

  • Hi!

    Our page is set up with 3 languages: DE, EN, FR. When I trigger a search from an elementor search widget on my site, the search result page falls back to the default language.

    I already contacted Elementor support they took a close look at the problem and came to the conclusion, quote “it doesn’t work because polylang won’t add the language parameter in URL (&lang=fr)”.

    Would you take a look at his issue please!

    * Polylang 2.51
    URL modifications: The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
    Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
    Hide URL language information for default language
    * Polylang Connect for Elementor 1.0.0
    * Page Builder Framework 1.13.1
    * Permalink setting: “Post name”
    * Static front page
