I was running SeatReg on a concept page made with Elementor using the shortcode in a container.
    It was all running fine.
After publishing the page everything went wrong! My header started loading multiple times- error page.
In seatReg I can’no longer open the registration. Even after deleting the shortcode!
The only way I can get back to the registration page is when I disable Elementor completely!
I can live with an incompatibility with using shortcode within Elementor.
I can’t accept having to disable Elementor completely!
    Please advice!

Some users have used SeatReg with Elementor without problems. Some users have reported problems but I was hoping that they are resolved now. Can you try to reproduce the problem with site like tastewp.com? Make sure you mark down every step/configuration so I can reproduce the issue and implement a fix.

I was not yet able to reproduce it. It could be that the problem only exists when Elementor pro has been used.
I created a new page in WP and pasted the shortcode.
Instead of SeatReg I got the footer and Header from the Elementor Theme builder!
Disabled both on the given page (in team builder)- Now I got the standard page but within the shortcode window with the SeatReg code a page with header and footer from Elementor!

Could it be that the theme builder from Elementor pro conflicts with the way SeatReg adreses the window? Also, I noticed when you ask for the Registry window it also presents the empty page with the Theme builder header and footer.

Extra info: Elementor Pro has a Theme Builder that overrides the standard theme settings for header and footer and page layout. It allows to create unique header or footers depending on the page or any given condition.

If needed I could give you access to my the website. But be careful there is running a different plug-in right now accepting bookings! (Sadly enough no longer supported, you could get some inspiration from it. It has strong and weak points)

    I’m also on Slack

It might have conflicts indeed. What did you meant by “concept page made with Elementor using the shortcode in a container” earlier. Did you also testing using Elementor PRO version?

a standard new page, as long as it was in consent it was working fine. As soon it got published it all went wrong.

I’ve been in contact with the elementor support team. They confirmed that there is definitely a conflict between the two plug-in. They recommended to contact you again an suggested to contact the elementor developers on GitHub to resolve this issue.

Was the support team able to reproduce the issue? The first thing is to be able to reproduce the issue as it will be the first thing Elementor developers will ask.

I had to give them full admin access to my website to do an analysis.

Afterwards they gave me this verdict:

    Hi,

    I appreciate your response.

Upon checking, there is a clear conflict between Elementor and SeatReg. I highly recommend reaching out to the SeatReg support team, as we do not have control or access to their settings and backend server.

My apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

    Wishing you all the best.

    Warm regards,

    Hi,

Is there any way that a collaboration could be set up between Elementor and SeatReg to resolve this issue?
There sourcecode is available on Gethub.

The people on SeatReg are more than willing to resolve the issue.

    Answer today:

Since the issue is caused when the plugin is activated and as we have no control over coding for third-party plugins, I highly recommend that you report this issue to the support team for this plugin so they may further troubleshoot and provide a solution.
If they need any technical details regarding Elementor, they are free to open an issue on our Github page where our developers will be happy to collaborate directly with them.

Do you have any Elementor addon plugins installed? Like Happy Elementor Addons for example. There was a case where one addon caused problems.

    hi,

Nope no addon installed. Also tested with everything deactivated but elementor and seatreg. The problem persists. Disable elementor and seatreg works fine.

Is it possible for you to test also with Elementor free version?

    Thread Starter bobocop

    (@bobocop)

The problem is that even if you disable the pro version (free version needs to be installed to use the pro). header and footer (I imagine a number of page setup items) remain active. So the theme builder settings are not fully ignored.
Even reverting to standard Guthenberg with elementor active does not work!
It only starts working again fully without elementor active!
As if somehow the shortcode displaying is completely messed up for SeatReg. (Other shortcodes of other plug-ins are not impacted!)
Sadly it is on a live site withe real booking going on for our next theater play (Other Plug-in)
So I can not mess around with removing and installing as i wish. So testing is done with another plug-in that allows to disable everything for the admin user – not the front end.

Can you create a test SeatReg registration page and share the URL?
