Elementor Pro – Annoying Renewal Notifications
-
Elementor is ok and all as a page builder, but the Pro Version does not respect the user at all – it’s all about the money. I originally bought the Pro version for maybe one or two features that I couldn’t find elsewhere. The pricing was steep considering how little I needed, but I had no choice. So I bought it once and didn’t renew, I didn’t want anything else from it.
Elementor Pro allows you to continue using whatever you added to your website after expiration, you simply can’t add any more widgets or anything to a page. That much is fair and expected. My problem comes from all the begging Elementor does.
There’s notification banners asking for you to renew on every single page on the backend. The WP Dashboard, other plugin pages, the page editor, etc.. You can click the X to close it temporarily, but if you move to another page it’ll be back. It’s constantly in your face; it’s incredibly annoying. The only way to remove these banners is to remove the plugin, obviously, but I’d prefer to use what I paid for.
My suggestion to the developers: Please add a “Hide for 1 Week” option to the banners. Or an option to hide them for a single day, AT LEAST. No other plugins have ever been this bad before. Being constantly reminded just makes me not want to renew, I don’t want to support a company with practices like that.
