• I have used the following to display a post grid in Elementor – Essential Add-on Post Grid/Premium Add-on Blog/Blog Designer Post Layout, all free versions. None of them display the image when I select ‘display image’. Have cleared cache. Help appreciated in simple language as I am not a web designer. Many thanks. ??

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing difficulties displaying images in the post grid using the Elementor plugin and the mentioned add-ons. Let’s try some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Verify image settings: Double-check that the image display option is properly configured in the post grid settings. Ensure that the “display image” option is enabled or selected.
    2. Image availability: Confirm that the posts you are trying to display in the post grid have featured images or images attached to them. Sometimes, the absence of images can result in them not being displayed.
    3. Check theme compatibility: Ensure that the theme you are using is fully compatible with the Elementor plugin and its add-ons. Some themes might have conflicts or limitations that prevent the display of certain features. Try switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) temporarily and see if the issue persists.
    4. Plugin conflicts: Deactivate other plugins one by one (except Elementor and its add-ons) to check if there are any conflicts causing the image display issue. Sometimes, two or more plugins can have conflicts that affect functionality. Activate them one at a time while checking if the images appear in the post grid.
    5. Update plugins: Ensure that you have the latest versions of the Elementor plugin, Essential Add-ons, Premium Add-ons, and Blog Designer Post Layout installed. Outdated versions can sometimes have bugs or compatibility issues. Update them to the latest versions and check if the problem is resolved.

Thank you for your comprehensive action list. I had already checked most of them but just to be sure I did it all again in case I had missed something. However, the problem persists. I welcome any further suggestions.

I apologize for the inconvenience. If the previous troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve the issue, here are a few additional suggestions you can try:

    1. Verify plugin compatibility: Ensure that your version of Elementor is compatible with the add-ons you’re using. Sometimes, plugin updates can introduce compatibility issues. Check the plugin documentation or contact the plugin developer to confirm compatibility.
    2. Disable conflicting plugins: Temporarily deactivate other plugins one by one to see if there is a conflict causing the image display issue. If the image appears after deactivating a particular plugin, there may be an incompatibility between that plugin and the add-ons you’re using.
    3. Switch to a default theme: Temporarily switch your WordPress theme to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One or Twenty Twenty to rule out any theme-related conflicts. If the image displays correctly with a default theme, the issue may be related to your current theme.
    4. Test on a different site: Create a test environment, either locally or on a different website, and install the Elementor plugin and the add-ons. Test the post grid functionality there to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to your website or a more general issue.
