Elementor loop with pdf thumbnail

    Hello, I want to display a page with PDFs to download, and I would like to have thumbnails of the PDFs on these pages. I made a “documentations” CPT with an ACF of file type “PDF File”. I use Elementor Pro and in my theme builder I make a loop in which I would like to retrieve the thumbnail of the PDF (which I see in my library on the PDF as an image generated by WordPress from the first page of the PDF). But I can’t find that in the dynamic image options. Is there a solution?

    You can use shortcodes like pdf_thumbnail or pdf_thumbnail_url or if you prefer PHP then there are functions get_pdf_thumbnail_url or get_pdf_thumbnail_path or get_pdf_thumbnail_image_src or get_pdf_thumbnail_image

    I don’t know how Elementor works, but I’m sure you will be able to use one of these, or maybe you will need to create some extension/addon/module for elementor if you require some very specific usecase inside some existing structure…

    But simply said – no, this plugin was never tested with Elementor and compatibility is unknown
