Hi! Elementor is breaking a government’s agency website in the most embarrassing manner. First, the site totally went down, generating a 508 error (Resource Limit Is Reached
). As a first step towards troubleshooting, I deactivated the plugins folder and started activating plugins one after the other only to realise that Elementor is the culprit. When it manages to load, it takes forever.

It’s been over 24 hours and it is the most frustrating experience ever. Unfortunately, the theme needs Elementor to run. My hosting provider have claimed I am abusing my resource and have threatened to yank me off permanently. The Physical Memory Usage is always maxxed out when Elementor is activated and low when it is not.

I desperately need to have this fixed.

I temporarily had elementor deactivated alongside other plugins. Hence the “bak”.

    Hi @sanchez01 ,

Please follow these steps, and let me know if it solved your issue:

    – Deactivate all of your plugins except Elementor. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.

    – switch your WordPress theme to default WordPress theme temporarily
