Elementor in conflict with Academic Blogger’s Toolkit

I just installed and activated Elementor but could not edit a single post with it, not even a newly created one. So I deactivated my plugins one by one and it turns out that it is “Academic Blogger’s Toolkit” that seems to break Elementor (it works fine with several other page builders).

The conclict is not total because some more testing revealed that Elementor works for posts that have previously been edited with Elementor, even when the “Academic Blogger’s Toolkit” plugin activated. So the conflict concerns newly created posts and those that have not previously been edited in Elementor.
