Hi, my whole website has completely crashed. It was working fine before sunday. I am thinking part of it is the elementor header and footer, as that completely locks me out the website and I have to go into backup. When i reinstall it does the same thing. Any advise on how to work around it? I love the plugin.

  • Try version 1.6.28, at least for me is stable, I didn’t tried version 1.6.31 yet tho.

I have the same problem all day long.

@tipoli I read your suggestion on the other thread and tried it out, but the problem persists.

It looks like they’ve removed a folder and files from the new versions, but the code still looks for those files. I even tried editing the .php file in order to skip that step, but it didn’t work. I suppose it’s something specific to the combination of various plug-ins or Elementor header & footer with a certain theme.

@user1111 what theme are you using? I have Astra installed on this particular website.

@julianmarinov Yep, probably is something with a specific plug in or theme.
So far in the forum 1.6.30 have conflicts with WP SVG Images. I’m still in 1.6.28 using Astra theme and it’s running fine, I’ll wait a little before update production…

I am so confused and not an expert in this. It seems all the plugin updates are causing issues. Starter templates completely logged me out the front and back end. I has to use cpanel. so deleted starter. then something else was causing critical errors i couldnt figure out what. then i installed a debug plugin who said it was a learnpress addition and hubspot. so deleted that. then it still continued and it seemed to be elementor header and footer. Everything was perfect before all these updates. Now things seem to be ok but ive lost most of my plugins. Also astra theme.

    Hi,

We’re sorry for the mess. We have fixed the issue. Please install the latest update, v1.6.31, to resolve this problem.

If your site login page is not accessible, you will need to disable the plugin using FTP. Here is an article that explains how to disable a plugin using FTP.

As mentioned in the article, you need to rename the plugin folder. In this case, the one you need to rename is the header-footer-elementor folder. Once you rename the folder, you can log in to your site and reinstall the plugin.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Installed v1.6.31 and it caused a fatal error again… Had to install v1.6.28 to bring my site back online.
